C&A is seeking a dynamic and motivated Controller to join our team, responsible for the CEE countries, including Austria and Switzerland. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing Country Improvement Strategies

• Create and implement tailored performance improvement plans for individual CEE countries
• Focus on three key areas: real estate portfolio optimization, in-store performance improvement, and cost management
• Analyze what's working (and what isn't) in each market and build concrete action plans to address gaps
• Balance local market needs with overall Central European strategy

Drive Real Estate Decisions

• Partner with portfolio managers on store opening, closing, extension, and refurbishment decisions
• Build business cases for individual store investments
• Identify long-term portfolio opportunities and risks

Steer Financial Performance

• Monitor country-level P&L performance and identify risks and opportunities
• Work with country managers and commercial teams to develop action plans for achieving financial targets
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making

Lead Through Influence

• Build strong relationships with country managers, portfolio managers, and central teams
• Align diverse stakeholders around common goals
• Drive change through communication and collaboration, not authority

WHAT YOU BRING

Must Have

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous challenges
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Intrinsic motivation to identify and solve problems independently
• Commercial mindset with interest in retail and consumer-facing businesses
• Ability to translate data and analysis into actionable business insights
• Project management capabilities

Nice to Have

• Experience in retail, real estate, or consumer goods industries
• Background in consulting or strategic finance
• Experience working across multiple markets or countries
• Financial planning and analysis experience

The collectively agreed salary for the advertised position is EUR 3.500,- per month on a full-time basis plus an all-in overpayment. We are of course prepared to make an overpayment in line with the market depending on individual qualifications and professional experience.
