POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Vienna. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading a team of two software engineers, driving the development and implementation of their new social platform. Reporting directly to company leadership, the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting solutions, implementing best practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and mentor a team of two software engineers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with company leadership to define project goals, requirements, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Architect, design, and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions using C# .NET and other relevant technologies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
• Implement and optimize backend services, APIs, and database schemas to support the functionality of the new social platform.
• Utilize experience in message queuing systems, databases, and content management systems (CMS) to enhance platform performance and functionality.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure code quality, reliability, and security standards are met.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, advocating for continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in software development, with a focus on C# .NET development.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
• Expertise in designing and developing scalable web applications and services using C# .NET, ASP.NET, and related frameworks.
• Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL), and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and experience integrating third-party APIs is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
