OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Operations Director to join their team. This strategic role is pivotal in driving the digital transformation of their manufacturing operations. As a key member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing new strategies in manufacturing automation, data exploitation, IT/OT security, and establishing global standards and guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement global strategies for manufacturing automation, data exploitation, and IT/OT security.
• Standard Operating Procedures: Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency across all manufacturing sites.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with technical leadership teams across various countries to align digital operations with overall business objectives.
• Budget Management: Oversee the technology budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and return on investment.
• Travel: Frequent travel to their 60 factories worldwide, primarily in Europe, to oversee implementation and provide on-site leadership and support.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Proven experience in a similar strategic role within the manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on packaging technology.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing automation, data exploitation, and IT/OT security.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel frequently to various international locations.
