Our client is a leading international provider of end-to-end communications solutions for mission-critical networks. Their focus is on the reliable, efficient, and sustainable production, transmission, and processing of voice, data, and video information. They employ across 12 locations in Europe, with headquarters in Vienna.


POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Architect (m/f/d) who will serve as the interface to individual R&D teams and Product Line Managers. The role involves setting up complex software development projects in the telecommunications sector and ensuring the seamless integration of existing systems to meet customer requirements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System Architecture: Define and ensure the seamless system architecture, assign new functions to individual products, and determine the scope and responsibility for each product of the end-to-end solution in the mission-critical environment in coordination with product line managers.
  • Functional Requirements: Derive functional requirements per product at a high level as input for the product owner of the individual R&D teams and ensure traceability to the feature requirements.
  • Non-functional Requirements: Derive non-functional requirements (e.g., performance requirements).
  • Technical Documentation: Ensure consistent technical documentation on the system.
  • System Dependencies: Manage the system dependencies of end-to-end solutions and ensure communication with the teams involved (e.g., presales, individual R&D teams, engineering & services).
  • Integration of New Technologies: Ensure the integration of new technologies into existing systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide advice and support with complex technical challenges of the individual R&D teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed technical studies in computer science, communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable course of study.
  • Several years of professional experience in software development.
  • Several years of experience with system design and integration in telecommunications projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications networks, protocols, and technologies (e.g., 5G, LTE, VoIP, SDN/NFV).
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with agile software development methodology (e.g., Scrum) and continuous integration (Jenkins, Git) is an advantage.
